Nor are some snus types more "hardcore" than others although some people like to believe they are because they like a particular loose brand.
US dip brands *do* try their best to come across as the choice for rough and brawny folks though.
Two different worlds if you ask me.
More choice means there's a snus for every occasion. Has anyone ever counted how many brands and types there are in total? Prolly around a hundred. |
I like Catch Eucalyptus, too. I think Wise is being marketed as a sort of healthier, 'wiser' option. I just like the clean taste, though. I've just placed my first order of loose snus - it's been strictly portion since I started snusing - so I'm looking forward to that. |

I live in a good ol' American cattle town and Cope Snuff is the dip of choice. I pull out my silver & black shiney tin of Lucky Struck Originals with pride. One exception though, if it doesn't come in a round traditionally shaped tin, I leave it at home (Roots loose snus, Landstroms, etc.). |

I agree with you that more choices is better. I also see the snus/gender issue all over. I have often asked myself why that is. I expect it is because "back in the old days" mostly men were willing to tolerate black stuff hanging in their teeth. So "real men" used loose and if females used snus they kept it hidden.
By the way, I use Catch Eucalyptus myself, have a portion in right now Does that make me a girly man?
The gender issue in snus is in other countries as well. Take a look at buysnus.com. For example they have a mans "try out box" and a women's "try out box". Also check out this video of a general pris snus having "sex" with a 'Mocca Mint Mini Portion' on youtube. Snus Porno? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Utvs2Q7gHv0 |

Nice video.
Is there really such a thing of wussy snus? I thought this, as I grew up around around dip, and the whole 'if you don't Cope, you might as well put on a skirt' thing. But snus is a whole different animal(a hell of a lot better too). More choices, better flavors, no spitting, the list goes on and on.
I've even started buying some portions, never thought I would do that. Not only for the flavors, but because they are easier to use sometimes. But I don't ever think I would buy them exclusively, as I did use 'dip' for a long time. |
